Transport for NSW says there is no forecast for completion of repairs at Panania in Sydney’s south-west, impacting multiple train lines across the city.
Multiple Sydney train lines have experienced delays on Saturday due to overhead wiring repairs, three days after the entire network came to a halt.
Commuters attempt to board trains at Parramatta station during delays across the network on Wednesday.“Trains may stop on platforms or between stations for longer than normal while the incident is ongoing,” it said. Alerts were active for the T1 North Shore and Western Line, T2 Inner West and Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line, T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line, T7 Olympic Park Line and the T8 Airport and South Line, all impacted by the “ongoing” incident, which began on Friday afternoon.
Passengers took to social media to express their disappointment. One person said, “What a mess”, while another said, “Twice in one week”.
