MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities in Florida said a woman was bitten and pulled under the water by an alligator while out on a boat with her boyfriend and dog. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the 27-year-old woman and her boyfriend took their boat out to the South Fork River near SW Linden Street Wednesday.
While the woman was in waist deep water with the couple’s dog, an alligator bit her hand and wrist and pulled her under the water for a moment. The gator released the victim, and her boyfriend drove her to the boat ramp at Charlie Leighton Park.The woman’s boyfriend and dog were not injured.
