A wildlife rescue center shares the story of an albino squirrel who was brought in with multiple severe injuries, including infection and tissue death. The squirrel, found by a kind human, received extensive care including wound care, bandage changes, and surgery. While her progress is remarkable, she still has a long road to full recovery.
“We have been anxiously waiting to introduce you all to our current albino squirrel patient! 🤍 For a while, we weren’t sure if she would make it.
When we opened the box that she was in, we were hit with the unmistakeable stench of infection and decay. 🤢 We suspect she was grabbed by a predator. An unfortunate consequence of her beautiful white coat is a lack of camouflage. 🌳
