Seguin police are searching for individuals who vandalized a statue called 'Wendy the Squirrel.' The statue was unveiled recently in honor of a local resident and was damaged during a criminal mischief incident.

Seguin police said it is looking for persons of interest who may have vandalized a statue called “Wendy the Squirrel.” Authorities responded to a criminal mischief call on Thursday in front of City Hall in the 200 block of North River Street, authorities said in a Facebook post.The statue was unveiled in honor of Seguin resident Wendy Parker less than two months ago, police said.

Seguin police said it obtained and shared surveillance footage that captured individuals near the statue at the time of the incident. Anyone who may recognize or have any information on the individuals is asked to contact Seguin police at 830-379-2123
