He began his college career at Tennessee, spending the 2023 and 2024 seasons in Knoxville. The Birmingham native, who played his high school football at Parker, will have two seasons remaining with the Crimson Tide. Keith becomes the first RB portal addition for Alabama in the class, though Hollywood Smothers committed to UA before flipping to Texas. Keith carried the ball three times for eight yards last season with the Mountaineers. His biggest year came in 2024, when he ran 21 times for 100 yards while at Tennessee. Keith was a three-star prospect out of high school according to the 247Sports composite rankings, which had him as the No. 42 running back in the 2023 recruiting class. He chose Tennessee over a group of offers that included Kentucky, Florida State and Georgia Tech He joins a running back room that has lost three names so far this offseason. Starter Jam Miller and Dre Washington, who played sparingly in his lone seat at Alabama after transferring in from Louisiana ran out of eligibility, while Richard Young transferred to Colorado. Alabama struggled mightily to run the ball this season, even managing to rush for negative yardage in its SEC championship game loss to Georgia.
