Like many would-be passengers, Johnson found out the airline was kaput from news reports. She said the airline never contacted her directly to notify her of the situation.“I’m worried about not only spending a lot more money on a last minute ticket, but also that we won’t ever get back what we spent on the WOW Air tickets,” she said. “Why would an airline that has run out of money repay us?”
