Students and teachers tried to save the life of an abseiling instructor after he fell 40 metres to his death after an accident in the Margaret River. 9News
high school students with two teachers, when he fell at Brides Cave in Boranup just after 3pm on Thursday.Perth abseiling teacher Marcello Silveira died while on an excursion with year 11 students.
The abseiling instructor was a "well-respected" member of the caving community with over 25 years of experience. The students and supervising teachers had been on a camp and caving was one of their outdoor activities.
