Trussville police officers attempted to stop a vehicle just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of North Chalkville Road.

The driver refused to stop, said Lt. Clint Riner, and the chase was on. The driver got onto Interstate 59 southbound and exited on Roebuck Parkway where he struck a pickup truck and a school bus.All four males inside the suspect vehicle then fled on foot but were quickly captured. Video posted to social media showed the suspects fleeing and some of them jumping over a fence. Riner said police found drugs and illegal guns inside the vehicle. The suspects also had multiple outstanding warrants, he said.Jakorian Allen, 21, of Birmingham, converting a pistol to a machine gun, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of marijuana, and reckless endangerment. His bonds total $66,000. Brian McNair, 20, of Birmingham, converting a pistol to a machine gun, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bonds total $37,000. Jabari Pierce, 22, of Birmingham, converting a pistol to a machine gun, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree receiving stolen property. His bonds total $51,000.
