Then, there’s glycerin and hyaluronic acid to maintain skin’s moisture levels and stave off dryness. The shade range was expanded, too. While the original offered 55, the reformulation includes a whopping 70 options—across fair to deep complexions, then cool, neutral, warm, and olive undertones—made with enhanced pigments for a more dimensional finish. Part of the draw to Double Wear is that you can truly customize your experience. Dab a few dots along the face for a fresh, natural finish suitable for daytime, or layer on a bit more for full-coverage great for a party or photo moment. Upon opening your foundation packaging, you’ll notice that it doesn’t arrive with a pump. For Vogue’s beauty shopping writer Concetta Ciarlo, the foundation’s longevity really sets it apart from other options on the market. “Sometimes you need your makeup to last—I’m talking, really last, as in doing your makeup in in the morning with only minor touch ups by end of day,” she tells. “Upon first wear of Estee’s foundation two things were certain: it’s fully coverage and long-wearing.
