Police: Baltimore suspect escaped custody after asking for restroom break, overpowering officerPolice search for Baltimore suspect who escaped custody after asking for restroom break, overpowering officer A suspect escaped from police custody in southeast Baltimore on Wednesday after requesting a restroom break, then used the opportunity to remove his handcuffs and overpower an officer, according to the Baltimore City Police Department.
Police arrested Christian Green, 20, Wednesday afternoon for stealing an ATM in Baltimore City, the department said. Authorities say Green asked to use the restroom as officers were preparing to bring him to Central Booking for processing. Green was eventually able to remove his handcuffs and overpower an officer.Authorities say, after an extensive search for the 20-year-old, along with assistance from police helicopters, the department was unable to find the suspect. An additional warrant was obtained for the suspect by the department. The Southeast District Detectives are asking anyone with knowledge of Green's whereabouts to call them at 410-396-2433.
