Police in Harrisburg are investigating three separate shootings that happened over the weekend.
Sunday shootingThe most recent shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on State Street, just a few blocks from the Capitol building. Police say they initially responded to reports of shots fired, but when officers arrived, they found a man had recently died from apparent gunshot wounds.A person of interest has been arrested, and a homicide investigation is underway.
It happened near 19th and Derry. Harrisburg police say officers were making a traffic stop on a felony charge. As of right now, it's unclear what prompted the shooting, who the person is, or what that felony warrant was.There's no word on the person’s condition. An investigation is being conducted by the district attorney's office.Friday shootingFriday night, a woman was shot near 3rd and Verbeke streets. Police said the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
