High winds and cold today with lake effect snow in the area.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The arctic front rolled through last night with many reports of thundersnow with the snow squall. Winds are gusting over 50 mph at times this morning out of the west. Wind chills are in the single digits this morning as well. The attention now turns to lake effect snow. The steering wind is west to northwest today. Locally over 8 inches of snow is possible where squalls persist. The better risk for this will be in the higher terrain towns inland.
The wind will continue to diminish a little through the evening. Lake effect snow continues in the area. Additional snow is likely where those snow bands persist.
