The shooting took place near Colfax Avenue and Jamaica Street, the agency said on social media just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting in Aurora on Thursday afternoon, according to the Aurora Police Department.
“This is really tragic because a man has lost his life and we have three other people who have been injured,” she said. Morris said investigators don’t yet know whether the four victims were shot by one or more people. She said the circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear, but that police don’t believe it was random or a drive-by shooting.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect or suspects, she said, and urged any witnesses to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
