The five victims are from California, Texas and Michigan.
CINCINNATI - A Mount Orab man has been arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting teen girls from California, Texas and Michigan. Mark Chandler , 37, appeared in Cincinnati ’s federal court Tuesday where he faces sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement , and receiving child pornography charges .
Following an investigation, charging documents allege Chandler paid at least five girls he met on various social media apps to engage in sexually explicit acts on video. The victims were all approximately 14 years old. A criminal complaint says the Ohio man groomed the victims online for up to two years and paid one of them with Visa gift cards in exchange for sexual videos and photos.
Investigators also found screen recordings and messages on Chandler’s electronics that allegedly show him threatening to kill at least one of the girls by drowning her or using knives to cut her throat if she “tattled,” federal prosecutors say. He is facing anywhere between 30 years to life in prison for all three federal charges.
