Jamie Danielle Savell was arrested Saturday after she allegedly sprayed officers in the face with Mace when she was stopped for driving under the influence, court records show.

READING, Ohio - A Hamilton County woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly sprayed officers in the face with Mace when she was stopped for driving under the influence, court records show.

Jamie Danielle Savell, 39, of Reading, is charged with resisting arrest, attempt, obstructing official business, driving under the influence, two counts of felonious assault and three counts of assault on an officer, according to a criminal complaint filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court. Records show that the altercation came after she refused to exit the vehicle during a traffic stop for intoxicated driving by Reading police on the 1000 block of 4Savell allegedly sprayed two Reading police officers in the face with Mace as they tried to arrest her, court records show.

She caused injury to one of the officers during a “physical altercation,” Reading police wrote in a criminal complaint Savell was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center, where she is being held on a $90,000 bond and will return to court May 26.
