Allison Janney's new HBO Max movie, Miss You, Love You, has been released. The film follows a recently widowed woman as she navigates planning her husband's funeral with the assistance of her son's assistant.

Allison Janney 's new HBO Max movie, Miss You , Love You , has been released. The film, produced by Rash, Nat Faxon, Gigi Pritzker, Rachel Shane, Kevin J. Walsh, and Madison Wells, with Michael Bowes serving as an executive producer, follows a recently widowed woman, played by Janney, as she navigates planning her husband's funeral with the assistance of her son's assistant, played by Andrew Rannells .

The ensemble cast also includes Bonnie Hunt, Suzy Nakamura, Oscar Nunez, and Lisa Schurga. The movie's synopsis reads: 'A blunt, grieving widow, Diane Patterson is forced to plan her husband's funeral with a total stranger: her estranged son's assistant, Jamie Simms. As they fumble through grief and their strange, darkly funny circumstances, buried secrets and long-held resentments surface, but their partnership becomes an unlikely conduit for connection, laughter, and healing for this mother and her unexpected surrogate son.

' After the release of Miss You, Love You, Janney will next be seen in Ridley Scott's upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller The Dog Stars with Jacob Elordi. She is also part of the voice cast of the upcoming Minions & Monsters movie, which will debut in theaters on July 1. Janney has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than seven years now.

Besides being a fan of coming-of-age films and shows, she also enjoys watching K-Dramas and listening to her favorite K-Pop groups. The movie, beginning today, is a 2026 meta-comedy. HBO Max has also expanded its movie library with the addition of Warner Bros. Pictures' recently released R-rated movie, which was led by a well-known actor. One of Sony Pictures' hit sex comedy movies starring Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence has officially found a brand new home on HBO Max.

The movie library has also been expanded with the addition of one of 2025's highly rated action fantasy movies
