A lawsuit filed in New York alleges a JPMorgan Chase executive director sexually harassed and abused a male colleague, including drugging him and making racial slurs. JPMorgan Chase claims an internal investigation found no evidence to support the accusations.
A lawsuit alleges that Lorna Hajdini, a JPMorgan Chase executive director in Leveraged Finance, engaged in a pattern of sexual harassment , abuse, and coercion against a male employee identified as John Doe.
The complaint details accusations of non-consensual sexual acts, racial abuse, threats to his career, and even drugging with 'roofies' over several months starting in the spring of 2024. Doe, an Asian Senior VP/Director, claims Hajdini initiated unwanted physical contact early in their working relationship, making sexually suggestive remarks and escalating to explicit propositions. He alleges she threatened his professional advancement and ultimately his job if he didn't comply with her demands.
The lawsuit further claims Hajdini used derogatory racial slurs and made disparaging comments about his wife. Doe asserts that Hajdini admitted to drugging him on multiple occasions to facilitate unwanted sexual encounters and even monitored his financial activity. He alleges that after reporting the abuse to JPMorgan Chase, the firm retaliated by placing him on involuntary leave and allowing threats against him to continue. The complaint cites two witnesses who corroborate parts of Doe’s account.
JPMorgan Chase maintains that a thorough internal investigation found no evidence to support the claims, noting that Doe refused to participate in the investigation. The firm stated that numerous employees cooperated, but the complainant declined to provide facts to substantiate his allegations. The lawsuit seeks damages for the alleged harm caused by Hajdini and JPMorgan Chase’s alleged enabling of the abuse and subsequent retaliation.
The case was filed in New York County Supreme Court, with Doe proceeding anonymously to protect himself and his family. Hajdini and JPMorgan Chase have not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit, but were contacted for comment by The Daily Mail. The allegations paint a disturbing picture of a power imbalance exploited for personal gain and raise serious questions about the workplace culture and accountability within JPMorgan Chase
