The Opelika Police Department began investigating a report that 33-year-old Don Anthony LeBoeuf was sending inappropriate texts to a juvenile.
OPELIKA, Ala. - A Columbus man arrested on child pornography charges in Alabama now faces additional charges after investigators executed a search warrant at his Georgia home. On Tuesday, members of the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group executed a search warrant at the home of 33-year-old Don Anthony LeBoeuf during a joint investigation with the Opelika Police Department.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office contacted Opelika police on January 5 after LeBoeuf was arrested on multiple warrants including electronic solicitation of a child and ten counts of possession of child pornography.During the search, investigators seized multiple cameras, cellular phones and other digital storage devices, along with seven firearms and 90 pills of unprescribed alprazolam. Investigators also found a video surveillance camera concealed inside a vent in a bathroom of the residence. The camera was set up to record occupants in the bathroom used by seven children who were located inside the residence when the search warrant was executed.The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office is issuing warrants for LeBoeuf on the following charges:Three counts of sexual exploitation of childrenLeBoeuf remains in the Lee County Jail on the original charges with the Opelika Police Department.On December 22, the Opelika Police Department began investigating a report that 33-year-old Don Anthony LeBoeuf was sending inappropriate texts to a juvenile. During the investigation, LeBoeuf began sending sexually explicit messages to who he believed to be a juvenile and planned to meet up with them at a local sporting event. On January 5, LeBoeuf went to Opelika - where he was arrested on multiple warrants including electronic solicitation of a child and ten counts of possession of child pornography.This case remains under investigation by the Opelika Police Department.
