Five Finger Death Punch's new single "Eye of the Storm" enters the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart at number 26, the band's best debut since 2022, while electronic act Galantis signs with Ninja Tune's Counter Records imprint.
Released on May 15, the single "Eye of the Storm" by Five Finger Death Punch achieved 1.5 million chart-eligible streams, 1.7 million radio audience impressions, and 2,000 digital sales in the United States during its tracking week ending May 21, according to Luminate data.
The track debuted at number 26 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, marking the band's strongest entry on that ranking since "AfterLife" launched at number 16. Five Finger Death Punch, formed in Las Vegas in 2005, now holds 11 top 10 hits on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Their previous number 2 peak, "AfterLife," arrived in 2022 and was followed by 12 additional chart entries before "Eye of the Storm.
" The band's earlier success includes the 18-week chart-topping run of "A Little Bit Off" beginning in July 2020, which originally debuted at number 2 on the inaugural Hot Hard Rock Songs chart in June 2020. "Eye of the Storm" is currently a standalone single, intended for inclusion on the band's forthcoming tenth studio album, which lacks a set release date.
The predecessor album, "AfterLife," debuted at number 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart in 2022 and has accumulated 423,000 equivalent album units to date. In separate label news, electronic duo Galantis has signed with Ninja Tune's Counter Records imprint, with the artists describing the partnership as providing a sense of freedom and inspiration they have not felt in a long time. The new deal signals a fresh creative chapter for Galantis, known for their vibrant, festival-friendly sound
