Rochester, N.Y. — The University of Rochester has announced a new partnership with the founders of the "Sol" mental health app, aimed at helping students address their mental health challenges. Speaking at the "Flourish Festival" on campus, which promotes mental, spiritual, and physical wellness, Nazar Yasin, co-founder of Sol, highlighted the urgent need for mental health support among students. "Approximately 60% of students these days are feeling extreme anxiety, extreme loneliness and even thoughts of suicide, and so, there is a massive need for some kind of mental, emotional and spiritual health tool to help students start living a happier, healthier and more fulfilled version of their life. That's what Sol was built to try to accomplish," said Yasin. As part of their visit, the Sol team is offering students and faculty free access to the premium version of the app.
