Every Sunday, ONEgeneration's Encino Farmers Market brings together local farmers, food vendors, and crafters, offering fresh produce and handmade goods while supporting free community services for seniors, children, and families.

Every Sunday, the ONEgeneration Encino Farmers Market transforms a seven-acre lot into a vibrant community hub. Open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, the market attracts up to 1,300 local residents each week.

With over 30 certified organic farmers from Central and Southern California, shoppers enjoy a bountiful selection of in-season fruits and vegetables. More than 25 food vendors offer street food that reflects the diverse culinary traditions of the San Fernando Valley, while over 10 crafters sell handmade goods such as flowers, candles, and creams. Live entertainment from local bands adds to the festive atmosphere, making the market a joyous Sunday ritual for families and friends.

The market is operated by ONEgeneration, a nonprofit founded in 1978 that provides intergenerational community services for seniors, children, and families. A portion of the proceeds from the market, along with weekly donations, supports the organization's free services. These include two senior centers, meal delivery to homebound older adults, and a combined senior and childcare center.

The market also serves as a platform for community engagement, allowing residents to connect with local farmers and artisans while contributing to a cause that helps over 10,000 older adults, children, and families each year. Natasha Levy, the market manager, emphasizes the dual mission of the market: 'It is our hope that the Encino Farmers Market continues to provide access to local, fresh produce and goods to our community, while supporting the various programs and services at ONEgeneration.

' The market not only offers a weekly source of fresh food but also fosters a sense of community and shared purpose. Whether a family is picking out organic apples or a senior is enjoying a free meal delivery, the market's impact extends far beyond its Sunday hours. The Laguna Woods California Club also recently organized a bus trip to San Diego's Little Italy in May 2026, highlighting the broader interest in farmers markets across Southern California
