In the struggle to control Bexar County's second-largest school system, a pair of conservative PACs outspent a group backing moderates by more than 7 to 1.
Political action committees backing candidates in the election battle to control North East Independent School District have spent nearly $70,000 as of last week to see their sides win. The Bexar County Champions for Public Education’s finances are miniscule by comparison. Overall, its political expenditures have been $8,311.
