Red Dead Redemption 2 's single-player mode has been left to its own devices, while the game's developer, Rockstar, focuses on bringing new experiences in the much more lucrative Online mode.
The game's extensive modding community has stepped in to fill the gap, with many reasons to be positive about the developments. One such mod is Loansharking, which adds a debt collection system to the game. This system allows players to head to the Post Office as Arthur Morgan, where they will be given a debt to collect. The player can then use intimidation or physical force to get the debtor to pay up.
The mod also features a basic penalty system, where the player's share is withheld until they deposit the debt. This mod expands on an intended system in the base game and makes a lot of sense given the tough life of Arthur Morgan during the final stages of the Wild West's era. The modding community has also created other original creations that cater to different tastes.
With the developer's focus on GTA VI, it seems unlikely that new cowboy-related experiences will be added to the game's solo mode. However, the modding community continues to thrive, providing players with new and exciting experiences
