24. Austin police discovered the victim unresponsive and bleeding after responding to a call about an unconscious man. The victim died at the scene.According to Travis County court records, on March 28 of this year, Moore waived his right to a jury trial in the 147th District Court. Based on a competency evaluation report, the court found him not guilty by reason of insanity. Following the verdict, Moore was committed to a mental health facility. The case disposition came after multiple pre-trial hearings and delays. Court records show Moore was determined to be indigent and was appointed counsel. The defense gave notice of intent to raise an insanity defense in February 2024, about a month before the trial date.
