SAN DIEGO – Six people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a two-vehicle crash on a Clairemont street — a collision that sent one of the cars into a home.
“All I know is that we were sitting in our offices, my wife was on a call, and I was responding to emails,” Juan Villasenor, the Chateau Drive homeowner, said. “Heard a loud crash outside and then it turned into a second crash. That’s when we saw dust, and a car was in our living room, obviously.
” The incident was reported just after 11 a.m. in the 4600 block of Chateau Drive, near Genesee Avenue, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Because we might end up at a hotel tonight and, I don’t know for a while,” Villasenor said. Villasenor told ABC 10News he’s thankful he and his wife weren't hurt but warned it's not the first time there have been incidents at the intersection.
“We constantly hear cars honking, screeching, coming to a halt; just hear the noise all the time. But I never thought this was going to happen to my house.
