The Fallout 4 mod Buzzard's Bounties offers a new and challenging experience for players, with a silent protagonist and new characters to interact with. The mod is available for PC and Xbox players, but not for PlayStation players. It has received regular updates and has been played through over 38,000 times on the PC alone.
Fallout 4 is over ten years old, and though it's a sprawling and ambitious game in its own right, you could easily be forgiven for having explored everything the base game has to offer at this point.
With no more DLCs on the way and the next game in the series likely still years away, given Bethesda's focus on The Elder Scrolls VI, it would be totally fair enough if fans have started to feel a little despondent. Happily, the game's enormous community is on hand to help us fill in the time with worthwhile experiences in the post-apocalypse, with the recent, major increases to console Creation storage increasing the potential of mods for console players further.
As part of that, there is one download that PC and Xbox players will absolutely want to be aware of, and it could keep you occupied for hours if you give it a chance. Over on the official Creations Club page for Fallout 4, you should be able to find Buzzard's Bounties, an ambitious quest mod that lets you pick-up an increasingly difficult series of bounties from the titular Buzzard.
The mod reverts back to the silent protagonist of older Fallout games as an artistic choice, which will undoubtedly prove very popular with some, while adding a bunch of new characters to the narrative for players to interact with. The full list of features included in the mod is as follows: That's obviously a lot of new stuff to explore, and the mod really is a very well designed, self-enclosed experience that comes entirely feature complete at this point.
Despite only launching earlier this year, the download has received regular updates (with the most recent being in April), and it has been played through over 38,000 times on the PC alone. The only caveat to what is a very good time is that it remains unavailable for PlayStation players, as is so often the case with Fallout 4 Creations. To get in on the action, you'll need to be playing on Xbox or PC.
There are obviously plenty of other mods out there to increase the longevity of your good time as well, including on PlayStation consoles. It's certainly some of the best fun we can be having with Fallout while we wait to hear more news from Bethesda, which could be a very long way away indeed
