Upper Providence Township police put out a warning about a group of burglars.Before the burglars get inside, police say they are targeting and damaging popular doorbell cameras before breaking in to homes in Delaware and Chester Counties.On Thursday, Upper Providence Township Police shared a Facebook post to be on alert for "a rising number of burglaries in our surrounding communities to the north in both Delaware and Chester County .
Upper Providence detectives say the group of burglars is known to park in "distant locations and traverse through backyards and wood lines" while targeting homes.Sam McCutchin’s biggest problem on his block was shoveling his driveway after a snowfall. Crime around his quiet Delaware County neighborhood is nearly unheard of until now. "I’m shocked. I’m shocked. I'm shocked it’s in this neighborhood. And people around here are pretty close" said McCutchin.
