A debate between Lancaster City officials is heating up over sightings of needles and syringes in public spaces.
Councilwoman Diaz went onto explain her personal attachment to the matter citing the death of a close friend from her childhood that passed away from HIV being transmitted from a needle. Lancaster City Police Department responded to these concerns, saying, "There have been zero calls for service as it pertains to drug activity in Crystal Park and there have been a total of 10 calls for service over the last year at Musser park for violations usage," said Sergeant Todd Gregar.
