One South Euclid will hold its largest fundraiser of the year, Mingle at Mayfield, on Sept. 18. At the event, this year's South Euclid Hometown Heroes will be honored. They include, clockwise from upper left, educator Angela Thompson, South Euclid firefighter Justin Capadona, DJ Lily Jade, and the South Euclid-Lyndhurst PTA.
The event is meant to bring together neighbors, supporters, and community leaders to recognize the city’s 2025 Hometown Heroes. Honorees this year include Rowland Elementary School educator Angela Thompson; South Euclid firefighter Justin Capadona; the South Euclid-Lyndhurst PTA; and, as an Emerging Hometown Hero, DJ Lily Jade. Each will be recognized for their contributions to South Euclid that embody the spirit of service, leadership, and community pride. “Our Hometown Heroes remind us that everyday acts of service like teaching in the classroom, volunteering at schools, protecting our neighborhoods, or inspiring through music are what make South Euclid thrive,” said One South Euclid Executive Director Kristian Hunter, in a release. “Each honoree shows us what it means to care for the community.” Mingle at Mayfield is the largest fundraiser of the year for One South Euclid, the city’s nonprofit community development corporation. Guests will enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, as well as the excitement of both online and in-person auctions and raffles. Proceeds directly support One South Euclid’s Neighborhood Grants Program, which invests in home repairs, senior landscaping services, community events, and storefront improvements. “The funds raised help us invest right back into the people and neighborhoods of South Euclid,” said Hunter. “Whether it’s assisting seniors with landscaping and snowplowing, revitalizing small business storefronts, or supporting community events that bring neighbors together, every ticket purchased makes a meaningful impact.” For those unable to attend in person, there are other opportunities to support One South Euclid. Community members can bid online on The evening will also feature video tributes to the honorees and opportunities to connect with fellow residents and community leaders in support of a shared vision for South Euclid’s future. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.and agree that your clicks, interactions, and personal information may be collected, recorded, and/or stored by us and social media and other third-party partners in accordance with our
