Google has put its foot on the AI pedal.At its annual developer conference, the search giant unveiled a sweeping set of updates that mark a new phase in its artificial intelligence strategy.The search engine giant announced a revamped “AI mode” for Search, now available to all U.S. users, that aims to make web searches feel more like a conversation with a well-informed assistant rather than scrolling through links.The company also revealed it’s integrating its powerful Gemini 2.
”Eyes on the futureThe tech giant also revived its wearable tech ambition, previewing new Android XR-powered smart glasses equipped with a voice assistant, camera, and optional in-lens displays that deliver information discreetly. These glasses sync with the user’s phone to handle messaging, appointments, navigation, photo capture, and even live language translation for real-world subtitles.Samsung’s Project Moohan headset will also use Android XR to offer immersive infinite screen experiences.
