The race for Los Angeles mayor is tightening significantly, according to a new poll, and it's shaking up the campaign trail as incumbent Mayor Karen Bass fights for re-election.

The top two candidates will move on in the race. In the poll, Mayor Bass is at 26%. Right behind her is Nithya Raman at 25%.
Then Spencer Pratt at 22%. Meanwhile, democratic socialist Rae Huang is at 9%, certainly taking votes away from Raman, the other DSA candidate in the race.
Then at 5% is Adam Miller, who many believe is taking votes away from Bass. , though not as much as in L.A. According to new numbers from the Public Policy Institute of California, Democrat Xavier Becerra is leading the field at 23%, with Republican Steve Hilton coming in at 20%. ABC7's Marc Brown and political reporter Josh Haskell will join reporters from our sister stations in San Francisco and Fresno for an election roundtable ahead of the Tuesday primary.
