KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. -- Longwood Gardens fountain season blends the art of horticulture with the brilliance of incredible aqua performances. With more than 400 acres of cultivated property a trip to Longwood is a great escape with nature.
The fountain season runs through October with daily performances during the day and illuminated performances on weekend evenings. Throughout the summer there are special fountain performances that include musical themes and fireworks. The bonsai courtyard has become one of Longwood's most popular areas. From May 27-June 15, 2026 Longwood is hosting its first Satsuki Azalea Bonsai Show.
In the Exhibition Hall of the Main Conservatory there will be up tot 40 Satsuki Azalea bonsai on display. The flowering tree is one of the most beautiful bonsai and the blooming season is fleeting with a range of colors and styles on exhibit. There is another bonsai event June 24-29. The Longwood Gardens Bonsai Festival is a 6-day event welcoming bonsai clubs with exhibits, a juried selection of trees along with vendors and educational opportunities.
Longwood Gardens Carillon is celebrating 25 years. One of three resident instruments on the property, the Carillon has 62 bells and is played throughout the day creating the soundscape of the gardens. Located in the historic chimes tower, the sound of the chimes ring through the property. On festival events guests are able to walk to the top of the chimes tower to see the instrument and incredible views of the Main Conservatory.
Longwood Carillon 25th Anniversary Celebration is May 23 & 24 with performances planned throughout the day.
