Hollywood Boulevard between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue will remain closed until Wednesday at 6 a.m.

Hollywood Boulevard between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue will remain closed until Wednesday at 6 a.m.may be over, but the clean-up is far from done. Crews are working to take down the tent and red carpet used for Sunday night's ceremony.

Less than 24 hours ago, some of Hollywood's biggest stars were on Hollywood Boulevard, walking the Oscars red carpet ahead of the 98th annual Academy Awards. "The energy of the place, I still feel it. It's super early right now, but I feel we're still running on that fuel from last night. It was great. It was fantastic," said Vivienne Wilde, who is visiting from New York.On Monday morning, crews worked around the clock breaking down lights, stages, backdrops and of course, the red carpet. "Honestly, there's almost no traces left of the actual ceremony, what happened. There's no more red carpet. Everything is being broken down," Wilde said. Streets around the Dolby Theatre, which were closed for security and for the awards show, are slowly beginning to reopen.2026 Oscars: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress & more | See full list of winners "With the streets closed, it was like walk, and walk, and walk, because the car can't drive in this area, and so it was really difficult. But for us, it's the Oscars, baby! So OK, no problem," said Kelly Matos, a journalist from Brazil. "The only problem we had was a little bit of inconvenience yesterday, but I think that they managed it so well. They accommodated the people who live here, who visited," Wilde said. Hollywood Boulevard between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue will remain closed until Wednesday at 6 a.m. It will take a couple of days to get everything back in order. Metro bus traffic will be rerouted in the meantime, so if you use public transportation, make sure you're tracking where buses will be picking up and dropping off riders.
