I had no idea you could overdo it with fillers so badly, you end up needing a facelift...

Recently, facelifts have been a big topic of conversation. Every time I open TikTok, a different actor is being accused of having a"new face." While some celebs' suddenly"snatched" looks are the result of, many of them have been open about getting the procedure, which can be exorbitantly expensive — reportedly around $400,000 , had it dissolved multiple times in my cheeks & it still was in my face.

It would be itchy, it would cause swelling in my cheeks & it continued to migrate to other places. Please take it from me, filler doesn't dissolve in your body like we are told. So, in doing the lift we were able to take out a ton of it thankfully to Dr. Gould's skilled hands!"that, after getting the procedure,"I see me. It was instant. I went, 'Ooh, Imma be cute! Imma be cute!' That third day when I saw that swelling, oooh, I was like the Hulk. I was like, 'Ooohh...' I'm still me, 'cause people look at me now, and they don't say anything. They kind of .""When you constantly want something that bad, you gotta do it. And I discovered I wanted it that bad. It's terrifying but exciting. You wanna have your inner self not disturbed," she said.,"I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh. I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn't mean you should give up on yourself. If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully – meaning you don't want to do anything – then don't do anything. But for me, this is ageing gracefully. It'sShe continued,"Of course, my daughter Kylie went with me, while Kim was present at all times on FaceTime. I decided to reveal some details because I feel it can be very inspirational to people who aren't feeling so great about themselves. Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful."And here's a before and after from her second, more recent facelift:, he said,"It wasn't something, like, I was dying to do. Charly , my husband who certainly didn't need a facelift, had it in his mind that he wanted a facelift. So, when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he said, 'I want a facelift.' I was like, 'If you do it, I'll do it.'""Some couples get massages together. We thought we'd get facelifts. So, we interviewed a couple of doctors. The one we fell in love with was Dr. Jacono, who is amazing. He's become a very good friend. We thought, like, 'Oh, could he do both of us on the same day?'" he said. The surgeon was able to schedule their facelifts for the same day, but Marc ultimately had to reschedule his. Afterwards, he"was really happy with the results.", who was 47 at the time, reportedly said,"I'm a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn't lie about shit. I got an amazing facelift from Dr. Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work — and not just for the pop stars of the world.""I was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on. People go, 'You look nice.' I'm like, 'Dr. Ben Talei, facelift' for, like, anything you could ever want. I love him, I can't say enough good about him," she said.,"I'll reveal this to you I've told other people. I've had a lower face and neck lift. ... I kind of think it's the best facelift I've ever seen. And my doctor, let me give a shoutout because he's a genius. Dr. Allen Foulad is the best, and I've sent many people to him. ... I love that I can talk about it. I'm fully transparent, always have been. I don't want there to be any stigma. This is something that was bothering me. I lost a lot of weight and had this certain thing hanging, and I had it fixed.", she said,"After a dear friend had the most incredible experience with Dr. Foulad, I made the decision to follow in her footsteps. She is that friend that does all the research and due diligence for you. She met with all the top docs in the country. So thankful for her going first. I had lost 40 lbs and did not like the extra skin that hung from below my chin. It was never going to tighten up on its own. Not at 55. Trust me, when I tell you, I still felt extra cute and loved myself regardless, especially after working so hard to get in the best shape of my life. This procedure was the icing on the cake. One year later, I look back on my brave choice and consider it one of the best decisions I ever made for myself."" the then-64-year-old said,"I know, that's so vain. I'm so vain for no reason. No one has ever gone to ashow to see her beautiful, youthful face. You come to hear my jokes, which is what I want. I don't want you to come to care what I look like."Describing the procedure — her most recent one was done by Dr. Ben Talei — she said,"As far as I know, they just yank the crap out of your skin and your neck. ... I'm going to be honest ― it's painful. So these bitches that are like, 'It's like getting a tooth filled! It's nothing!' No ― it's painful. ... You come home ― and maybe you come home with a nurse ― and it's disgusting. I'm not going to lie. The first night, there's drains that come out of your chin. I know, it's so gross. But the vanity takes over.","I had a full facelift done in October, and I looked like one of those fucking mummies that they wrap . It hurt like hell. You have no idea.”Initially, she was extremely upset with the results. She said,"I'm telling you, it was horrendous. I'm, like, 'You've got to be fucking joking.' One eye was different to the other. I looked like a fucking Cyclops. I'm, like, 'All I need is a hunchback.' said, 'I don't care how much it costs; we'll get it redone.'" However, she added that her face was"settling.","I want young people to stop being afraid about getting older. What matters isn’t age, isn't that chronological number. What matters is your health. ... I always tell people what my age is because I want them to realize it. Now, as those words are coming out of my mouth, what I'm thinking with the second part of my brain is, Yeah, Fonda. You have money. You can afford a trainer. You can afford plastic surgery. You can afford facials. You can afford the things that help make you continue to look young. That is true. Money does help. Good genes and a lot of money, as somebody once said. But then, as I'm saying that, I'm thinking we all know a lot of women who are wealthy who've had all kinds of facelifts and things like that, and they look terrible. I had a facelift, and I stopped because I don't want to look distorted."She continued,"I'm not proud of the fact that I had . Now, I don't know if I had it to do over if I would do it. But I did it. I admit it, and then I just say, okay, you can get addicted. Don't keep doing it. A lot of women, I don't know, they're addicted to it. I don't do a lot of facials. I don't spend a lot of money on face creams or anything like that, but I stay moisturized, I sleep, I move, I stay out of the sun, and I have good friends who make me laugh. Laughter is a good thing too."Since she didn't specify exactly when she got her facelift, we can't do a before and after, so here's a then vs. now:post from October 2025, 54-year-old Rebecca Gayheart shared that she had a"mini lift" and an upper bleph done by Dr. Jason Diamond. She later told the podcast,"I'm very open about it because I feel that we have to be. … It's like, why are we trying to pretend like we aren't aging? And also, if we can do something to look better, why are we trying to say we're not doing that? I don't know. I feel like we just have to say it and normalize it. I've had a rough couple of years, and I was starting to — the gravity really hit, like, two years ago, 52. I was like, 'Wow, this is bad.'"She continued,"So I had one eye that was just saggy, and in photos it looked closed. One looked open; one looked closed. And I was like, 'I hate this,' and it was bothering me. And Jason, of course, is like, 'Yeah, you need to get that fixed … and while you're at it, you need to do this, this, this, and this,' so I did it." She said,"I'd never had any surgery, so it was my first one. And for me, it was a little intense just because I'd never done any surgery of any kind. But I will say, Jason is just, he's the guy who won't make you look crazy. ... The tricky part was my daughters . So, you know, obviously, I was honest without divulging everything, but I was home recovering. So they saw, and they went through it with me, and I just explained to them. I was like, 'Listen, this is possibly going to make me feel better about myself. And I think that's okay.' And I was like, 'I wouldn't do anything that I thought was dangerous or egregious. You know, this is something that's going to make me feel better.' And my youngest gave me a hard time. My oldest did not. But I think my youngest daughter was just nervous."actor Leslie Ash got several sessions of a non-surgical"facelift" called NeoGen, which uses"controlled heating" to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, from aesthetics specialist Dr. Martin Kinsella. Leslie told,"People keep saying to me, 'What have you done? You look amazing!' One friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, is convinced I've had surgery because the change was so dramatic, but I can assure you I haven't." She was 65 at the time. More than 20 years ago, Leslie notoriously got lip fillers that went wrong, resulting in a"trout pout" that she was relentlessly mocked for. Before the NeoGen, she had corrective work done on her lips. She said,"It was really important for me to have a non-invasive treatment that achieves really natural-looking results. I'd seen that Shirley Ballas and Linda Lusardi had great results with NeoGen, and I know Linda, so it was easy for me to check it out. ... It doesn't look fake or overdone at all. It's just me, but a much better version of me. My skin feels tighter and more plump, and the overall texture and tone is so much better. I can definitely say I look like I'm in my mid-50s, so, yeah, I'm happy with that. Ten years younger."Gene Simmons: Family Jewels. During Gene's 11 hours on the operating table, Dr. Frank Ryan operated on his eyelids and jowls, and he also performed liposuction around the singer's pecs. Gene watched the video of his surgery afterwards. He said,"I saw Dr. Ryan reach under my skin and massage the muscles of my face. It was like my face was peeled off and slung over my shoulder."Model/actor Shannon Tweed got a facelift alongside her then-partner Gene Simmons in 2007, the year she turned 50. She toldShe went in for her facelift and an adjustment to her lower lids the day after Gene's operation. Afterwards, she experienced extreme pain and wound up in the hospital for a few days. She said,"I got a throat infection. But it took my mind off the facelift."cohost Dr. Paul Nassif got a deep-plane facelift by Dr. Andrew Jacono in 2018. The 56-year-old decided to get the procedure done after losing weight. He told,"The excess skin, especially in my neck, was driving me crazy. ... It's something that I personally wanted to do for myself. It doesn’t matter if I am married to someone 105 or Brittany , I would have done it.”,"The deep plane facelift is $50,000 — it's more expensive than the average facelift, but there is value in it because you look youthful and natural. It also lasts longer than a traditional SMAS facelift. I was trained to do a more traditional facelift. That's what almost all surgeons perform, but it doesn't last as long. A deep-plane facelift should last 12 to 15 years, and a SMAS facelift is half as long, on average. In my experience, when I was performing SMAS facelifts, they would look droopy at a quicker pace."cohost Dr. Paul Nassif in the fall of 2022. The 45-year-old also got an endoscopic brow lift and had all of her facial fillers — which she initially started injecting to address the"gaunt" appearance of her skin after dealing with anorexia — dissolved. She told,"I feel healthier. I feel vibrant. I feel like I have a new lease on life. My parents made a comment — they're like, 'We have our daughter back.'"Dr. Nassif told the outlet,"She had filler in areas I've never seen before — deep in her cheek tissue — and it was exuding. When I was doing what we call a deep-plane face and neck lift, underneath what we call the SMAS flap, or the muscle flap around her nerves, there was filler still coming out from there, and now it's squeezed in the tissue."McKenzie said,"When were driving home, I was shocked because I remember looking forward at the cars ahead of me, and all of a sudden, I could see sky above me that I couldn't see before. Because the filler was so heavy in my brow, I couldn't see. And it's been amazing that now I can see so much more in my peripheral that I couldn't see before. And so now it's like, 'Oh my God, there's life around me. I can see.' ... Yes, I went down the slippery slope, but you know what? I do take responsibility that I continued down that slippery slope. And I feel very blessed, and so lucky that Dr. Nassif helped me regain this old McKenzie back, if you will. I don't want to say old McKenzie, but this McKenzie that once was. And I just feel so lucky to be back to where I was and not feeling self-conscious about this bulge on my eye, or this big heavy jaw, or these thick temples. I just feel great — I feel so vibrant again."Gregg DeGuire / FilmMagic via Getty, Jeff Kravitz / FilmMagic for Los Angeles Magazine via Getty Have you ever had a facelift — or would you want to?
