A landlord facing 50 misdemeanor criminal charges, has a hearing scheduled in East Cleveland Municipal Court Monday morning.

EAST CLEVELAND , Ohio - A landlord facing 50 misdemeanor criminal charges, has a hearing scheduled in East Cleveland Municipal Court Monday morning.At Monday’s hearing, Amarelo must show proof that the tenants have either moved or are in the process of moving.

Amarelo, the owner of Z4 Properties, is accused of leaving his tenants at 1885 Taylor Road in East Cleveland living without heat all winter, and no water for several weeks.East Cleveland Law Director Ken Myers said the East Cleveland Fire Marshal asked tenants to vacate the Taylor Road building after residents went through the entire winter without heat and several weeks without water. East Cleveland Mayor Sandra Morgan and Myers told 19 News the building had been cited for numerous code violations and that the city had made repeated contact with the owner before taking action.
