) - Davis Baker is stepping up to take over as WSFA ’s sports director following Rosie Langello’s move to a new role as a WSFA 12 News anchor.Baker spent two years as the sports director for KTEN-TV in Denison, Texas, before joining the WSFA Sports team in 2024.
He quickly established himself as a talented sports journalist and invaluable team member, covering athletes and telling stories from across the full spectrum of Alabama sports.WSFA 12 News Director Sally Pitts says she has high hopes for the future of sports journalism at WSFA under Baker’s leadership. “What truly sets Davis apart is his passion and eagerness to bring our viewers the very best in comprehensive sports coverage,” said Pitts. “As we look to the future, I am confident that Davis will lead our sports department with the same energy, integrity, and passion he has brought to every assignment.”Rosie made history as WSFA 12 News’ first female sports director when she joined the station in January 2022.
