Well, my dearest Wordlers, it’s Saturday at last. Do you have any fun weekend plans, other than solving all these puzzles? So many these days! We have Spelling Bee and Connections, the Mini and Big Crosswords, Pips, Wordle and then so many others outside the NYT Games app.
It’s enough to keep you plenty busy, though once you’re done I recommendWordle is a daily word puzzle game where your goal is to guess a hidden five-letter word in six tries or fewer. After each guess, the game gives feedback to help you get closer to the answer:Use these clues to narrow down your guesses. You can check your Wordle score with Wordle Bot SPITE was a solid opening guess, leaving me with just 45 remaining words and a green and yellow box. I probably should have guessed all new letters, because SHOUT left me with 11 remaining possible solutions. Not ideal. I was feelingtrailer, so I guessed STARK next — as in Eddard Stark — but that wasn’t it, either. With a few words to choose from, I guessed STACK and lucky for me, that was the Wordle!We tied with four today — again — so neither the Wordle Bot or myself get any points and our October totals remain:Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points. If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score.
