Ghouls Spotted Climbing on Carcasses of Dead Humpback Whale: £1.3million Rescue Effort Ends in Failure

Following an unsuccessful £1.3million rescue operation, the carcasses of a humpback whale, Timmy, and two other dead whales have been spotted on the coast of Denmark. Marine experts warn of the risks of approaching these carcasses as decomposition can cause them to explode. Timmy had been released as a part of a rescue mission after being stranded near Germany since March and had further deteriorated in the Danish island.

Ghouls have been spotted climbing on the carcass of Timmy the Whale to take selfies following an unsuccessful £1.3million rescue operation. People were urgently warned by Danish authorities against approaching the dead animal.

According to marine experts, dead whales can explode because gases are produced during decomposition that cannot escape through the thick skin of the mammals. The humpback whale could be carrying diseases that are transmissible to humans. It comes after Timmy, who had been released as part of a rescue mission, was found dead this week on a Danish island.

Timmy, whose health had severely deteriorated after being stranded near Germany since March, was released on May 2 after being transported in a water-filled barge by rescuers. The dead whale that washed up off the coast of Denmark has been confirmed as Timmy
