A large police presence could be seen working along Old York Road as an investigation was underway in West Oak Lane on Wednesday.
Law enforcement officials were gathered in Philly's West Oak Lane section as parts of Old York Road were closed as an incident unfolded on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday morning, police activity caused a shutdown to parts of Old York Road in Philly’s West Oak Lane community. Officials did not immediately say what brought out the significant police response.
A significant police presence could be seen along Old York Road in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section on Wednesday as officials were engaged in some kind of investigation. However, contacted Wednesday, police officials did not immediately say what had brought the police presence -- and road closure -- to the area.
As seen at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police vehicles had closed the roadway along the 7000 block of Old York Road in Philly's West Oak Lane section, while officers gathered in the middle of the roadway. Also, a large, black SWAT vehicle could be seen parked along the sidewalk as officers trained their guns towards a property on the block.
