The children were even involved in facilitating the dumping process, opening gates for paying customers. Evidence presented at Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court revealed that the gang actively solicited customers, with gang member Michael Ward, 61, seen directing arrivals via mobile phone. Drivers often removed their license plates to avoid detection and handed over cash to gain access to the sites. This illegal dumping was significantly cheaper than authorized disposal, attracting a steady stream of customers willing to bypass environmental regulations.
