Cauley, a freshman pitcher for the Warhawks , was named the Gulf South Conference Softball Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, marking the first of many accolades expected in her college career. She has gotten off to a phenomenal start, going 3-0 in the circle during the 2025 Eagle Classic in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Over three games, Cauley pitched 15 innings, including her second career collegiate complete game against Embry-Riddle. She recorded two wins and a 2-inning save, allowing 11 hits, 6 earned runs, and 4 walks while striking out 9 batters. Cauley's contributions extend beyond pitching. She's been a force at the plate as well, hitting 4 for 14 with a double, a home run, 6 RBIs, and a run scored. Her impressive start includes a season ERA of 1.91 through four games, 22 innings pitched, 12 hits allowed, 6 earned runs, 17 strikeouts, and just 5 walks. Cauley's collegiate debut was a complete game shutout against then No. 4-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne, a 6-0 Warhawks victory. At the plate, she's batting .364 with 8 hits, 3 runs, 2 doubles, 1 home run, 1 stolen base, and only 1 strikeout. Cauley and the No. 2-ranked AUM Warhawks will open conference play on Friday, hosting the No. 9-ranked Trevecca (9-0) in Montgomery for a three-game series
