North Carolina ’s iconic Wizard of Oz theme park, known as the Land of Oz, is expected to reopen for the 2026 season after being closed last year due to Hurricane Helene’s impact on the state. While the festival was closed last year , event organizer s evaluated key aspects of the Autumn at Oz Festival. The evaluation included looking into guest experience, operations, infrastructure and overall event sustainability.
This year will mark the 55th year of the Autumn at Oz Festival, which is one of the world’s largest Wonderful Oz events. Fans will travel into the Gale, Kansas, farm through the tornado experience and down the Yellow Brick Road to Emerald City. They’ll meet their favorite characters and experience live performances during the adventure. The festival will also include arts and crafts, memorabilia and food vendors.
The Land of Oz is expected to announce its reopening dates later this year. Ticket prices vary and will go on sale later this year, and those interested can sign up for email alerts. Find out how to buy tickets here.
