Edinburg police say a vehicle ran a stop sign and veered off the roadway and into the side of the grocery store at 1212 S. Closner.
An H-E-B in Edinburg reopened Tuesday morning, days after a vehicle smashed a hole in the building. The wreck occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday at 1212 S. Closner Blvd. The car veered off the road and into the building after running a stop sign, Edinburg police said. Five people were in the car. All were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Gabriel Vela-Reyna recalled a similar incident in Edinburg in August 2022, when a vehicle crashed into a Dollar General near FM 495 and Ware Road.
