Fire and rescue units responded to the area shortly after 5 a.m. after receiving a report of a structure fire in the area. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze and keep it from spreading to any nearby structures. After a brief investigation, fire officials determined that the fire had been intentionally set and identified 27-year-old Vanisha Nathan, of Montgomery, as the suspect.
Vanisha Nathan, 27, of Montgomery, is charged with first-degree arson in connection with an early morning house fire on April 28, 2026.
