Published: Nov. 20, 2024 at 11:43 PM ESTWELLINGTON, Ohio - Lily Rose Lee , formerly known as Michelle Knight , is devastated and heartbroken after authorities raided her animal rescue Wednesday.Lee founded Unleashed Animal Rescue in Lorain County two years ago to give animals love and a second chance.She said nearly two dozens of the animals at her rescue, which is based out of her home, were taken.
The Lorain County search warrant she received claimed there was evidence of animal cruelty at the rescue. 19 News reached out to Friendship APL and they said they received several complaints about the rescue and the investigation is ongoing. Lee said her inspiration to start a rescue began while she was held in captivity for 11 years after being kidnapped on Cleveland’s westside.
