Within the UK, the report indicates a balanced preference for both tranquil countryside escapes and vibrant coastal retreats. Grasmere, nestled in the heart of the Lake District, tops the list, celebrated for its breathtaking lakeside scenery, quaint cottages, and the legendary Grasmere Gingerbread shop.
The village, once lauded by William Wordsworth as 'the loveliest spot that man hath found', continues to captivate visitors with its timeless charm. Following closely behind is Carbis Bay in Cornwall, renowned for its pristine white-sand beach, crystal-clear waters, and consistent Blue Flag recognition – a testament to its exceptional quality and cleanliness.
