YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Members of the U.S. Marshals led by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a wanted fugitive in Youngstown Monday morning.
According to NOVFTF, 37-year-old Randy Reese was wanted by law enforcement for trafficking in persons, rape, corrupting another with drugs and felonious assault. Reese was being investigated by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for these various felony charges that took place over several years. NOVFTF said a warrant was issued for Reese’s arrest Friday, and NOVFTF began immediately looking for him.
In additional to new charges, Reese was also out on bond for a case where he is charged with felonious assault and strangulation, and was out on bond from the case in February. Members of NOVFTF located him at a home in the 4100 block of Southern Boulevard in Youngstown, and he was arrested without incident and taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
A case like this shows the incredibly dedicated work by members of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and then quick work by our task force. Law enforcement in Northern Ohio will do everything they can to work together to bring suspects like this to justice.
