The plane was destined for the Greek island of Kos but only flew for 43 minutes before being redirected back to Manchester . The cabin did not pressurize because the 'bleed switches' were left off, potentially risking passengers' lives.
The pilots claimed they turned the switches on 73 seconds after noticing the warning but the report revealed that the switches were turned off during maintenance. Both the pilot and co-pilot had very short notice to prepare for the flight, which is believed to have led to the oversight. The aircraft could not continue the journey after a 'MASTER CAUTION' warning appeared in the cockpit
