The agreement includes substantial purchases of agricultural products, such as beef, poultry, soybeans, and dairy products, with China buying at a rate of $17 billion annually for 2026, and at a higher level in the following years. Additionally, China would restore market access for U.S. beef and resume imports of poultry from U.S. states free from the bird flu disease. Farmers, however, are facing new pressure from Trump administration policies and are also dealing with restricted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which restricts China's trade. Despite these challenges, this agreement will surely have a significant impact on the agricultural industry and economy of both countries.

China has agreed to buy large quantities of U.S. agricultural products like beef, poultry, soybeans, and dairy products, restoring market access for U.S. beef and resuming imports of poultry from U.S. states free from the bird flu.

Meanwhile, the U.S. would address China's concerns regarding detention of dairy products, seafood, and the export of potted bonsai, and the Chinese side would work to resolve U.S. concerns regarding the registration of beef processing facilities and the export of poultry meat from certain states. The trade deals, along with China's soybean purchase commitments last year, aim to alleviate the pressure on farmers from Trump administration policies and the effects of disrupted trade routes
