Brittany Spaniel is back home after getting his mouth stuck inside a tractor exhaust pipe while chasing a mouse.
NORTH RIDGEVILLE , Ohio - A Brittany Spaniel is back home after getting his mouth stuck inside a tractor exhaust pipe while chasing a mouse. Benny arrived at Animal Clinic Northview last week with the pipe still attached. His owners had sawed the pipe off the tractor before rushing him to the clinic.
“This is number one on a long list of crazy cases I have seen,” said Dr. Allison Riedl, who has worked at the clinic for 16 years. Staff immediately stopped their work to help. The team put Benny under anesthesia, but needed more than medical tools to free him.
The clinic reached out to the North Ridgeville Fire Department for help with a stuck bolt. Three firefighters responded, but found their equipment was not enough.“The fire department needed another tool, so AutoZone gave us what we needed, and we were able to get that bolt unstuck,” Riedl said.
“He looks amazing. We saw him a few days ago, you would never know he had a pipe stuck on there,” Riedl said.
